Retirement/assisted living communities offer a variety of options. They may provide independent apartments, private rooms or semi-private rooms. Some units have full kitchens or kitchenettes; all offer at least one meal per day served in a community dining room. Generally provided in the rent are utilities, meals, weekly housekeeping and linen laundry. Assisted living services, such as personal care, may be offered for an additional charge.
